Tour description

Your tour begins at the cruise terminal, where your private guide and driver will be waiting to welcome you and start your experience.

You will be driven in comfortable executive vehicles to your first stop, Capo Peloro, Sicily's northeasternmost tip, where the waters of the Tyrrhenian and Ionian Seas meet in a breathtaking spectacle. Your return to Messina brings you to the Fountain of Neptune, a 16th-century masterpiece by Montorsoli overlooking the Strait, where your walking tour begins along Corso Cavour to the Church of the Santissima Annunziata dei Catalani. One of the few surviving examples of Norman architecture after the 1908 earthquake, this remarkable church, built between the 12th and 13th centuries over an ancient pagan temple, captivates with its extraordinary blend of Norman, Byzantine and Arab styles.

After a short break, you will continue to Piazza del Duomo, the vibrant heart of the city, to visit the interior of the Messina Cathedral, where stunning mosaics and imposing architecture tell the centuries-old story of its history.
